Its profile aligns with that of the collapsed LUMIX S 18-40mm F4.5-6.3 zoom lens, and the 62mm filter size stays consistent across both. Choose the zoom when you want flexible framing, and switch to a fixed focal length lens when you want more intentional creative control. Together, these two lenses provide an agile full-frame system that expands your creative freedom.

Dust, splash and freeze-resistant design

Because this is a lens you will want to carry with you every day, it is designed to keep shooting in unpredictable environments. Its dust- and splash-resistant construction helps you capture fleeting moments, while allowing you to shoot in temperatures as low as -10°C*. The fluorine coating applied to the front lens makes it easy to remove oil-based dirt that sticks to it.

You can change the rotation direction of the focus ring to match your preferred operating style.*

Non-Linear Mode

The focus ring supports both linear and non-linear modes. In non-linear mode, the amount of focus shift varies depending on how fast you turn the ring, allowing for quick and flexible adjustments.

In linear mode, focus shifts at a consistent, user-defined rate, providing precise, mechanical-feel control that is especially useful for reliable and accurate focusing during video shooting.
